Trippy is an application that people can use to track and interact with others about the places that they've been to or the places they want to vacation to. The destinations are posted to the Trippy homepage, and listed as a beautiful image. For example, Riesenrad, Austria is displayed with a large ferris wheel, or Chelsea, London is an artistic take on their museum. Users can then tag these images as places that they've been to or places that they want to visit. Users can also comment on the various destinations, thus creating a social community centered around travel. The images are displayed in a way that resembles Pinterest and users can browse and continue browsing by simply scrolling downward. Users of Trippy could also manage their own board to display their own images from their travels or simply see the posts of the places that they want to visit or the places where they've been. There is also a search tool built into the app so users could seek out destinations by name and see what images are available and other Trippy members' thoughts on the place.

The Trippy team has been together since 1999, when they developed their first site called VirtualTourist.com. In 2011, they created Trippy. Trippy has been featured on Forbes, Business Insider, TechCrunch and Reuters. As of June 2012, over 7,000 people were using the trippy app on Facebook.

Trippy is an app that users can get inspired by to visit new and interesting destinations. It is a visual treat and the images on its homepage are stunning. The ability to comment on and track the places where one has been and where one wants to go to, also make the Trippy app fairly unique.

As mentioned, Trippy is similar to Pinterest, but it's all centered around travel and vacation destinations. It is easy to use, fast, responsive and there were no bugs or errors encountered during this review. Trippy also has a bookmarklet available so users could pin travel images anytime they are on the Internet without having to revisit Trippy.

Signing up for Trippy is a very fast and easy process for Facebook users. They simply need to sync and acknowledge the Trippy application through their Facebook account and they will be all set and most of their profile on Trippy will already be completed for them.
